A EXPANSÃO DO TECIDO URBANO DAS ÁREAS DE OCUPAÇÕES INFORMAIS NO MUNICÍPIO DO RIO GRANDE/RS ENTRE 2010-2023
Esta pesquisa tem como objetivo identificar se houve expansão do tecido urbano das áreas de ocupações informais no município do Rio Grande/RS no período entre 2010 a 2023, onde estão localizadas essas áreas e verificar quais passaram por processo de regularização fundiária. Para tanto foi realizado uma revisão bibliográfica, levantamento de dados, pesquisa documental e trabalho de campo. O recorte temporal compreende o período do auge ao declínio de um Polo Naval instalado na cidade e o período da pandemia da Covid-19. Os resultados apontaram uma crescente expansão urbana destacada pela desigualdade de classes sociais, principalmente, na periferia noroeste do município.

Abstract:
This research aims to identify if there was an expansion of the urban fabric of areas of informal occupation in the municipality of Rio Grande/RS in the period between 2010 and 2023, where these areas are located and to verify which ones went through the land regularization process. For that, a bibliographic review, data collection, documental research and field work were carried out. The time frame comprises the period from the peak to the decline of a Naval Pole installed in the city and the period of the Covid-19 pandemic. The results point to a growing urban expansion highlighted by the inequality of social classes, mainly in the northwest periphery of the municipality.
