Abstract: The present article aims to analyze the environmental and socio- economic aspects related to agribusiness occupation in the Cerrado, specifically in the Triângulo Mineiro region, from 1985 to 2021. Using secondary data from MapaBiomas, the study reveals a significatt expansion of agribusiness activity over these 32 years, characterized by deforestation and conversion of natural areas into land for agriculture and livestock farming. This expansion raises concerns about environmental impacts, including loss of biodiversity, environmental degradation, and habitat fragmentation, highlighting the need to understand the patterns of occupation and the impact of agribusiness on the Cerrado.
