A ESPIRITUALIDADE E A SAÚDE MENTAL, UMA REVISÃO SOBRE A PSIQUIATRIA E ESPIRITUALIDADE/ RELIGIOSA
O presente artigo possui o objetivo central refletir como a espiritualidade e a saúde mental se correlacionam perante a psiquiatria. Para tanto, a ênfase em diagnóstico diferencial perante as doenças psiquiátricas deve ser observada, e assim se utilizará do método de revisão bibliográfica através de pesquisa em bases de dados PubMed, PsycINFO, Scopus, e SciELO por meio de palavras chave (mediunidade, transe, experiência religiosa, psiquiatria, saúde mental) em busca de artigos com dados psicológicos e psiquiátricos originais em experiências espirituais. Também foram analisadas as referências dos artigos selecionados, fundamentado em uma revisão sobre o tema. Há evidências que experiências psicóticas e anômalas são frequentes na população geral e que em sua maioria não estão relacionadas a transtornos psicóticos. Embora as experiências espirituais não estejam relacionadas a transtornos mentais, deve-se aprofundar a abordagem clínica e psicológica para entender e explicar que nem todas as doenças, antes taxadas como psicóticas e tratadas com medicamentos irregulares para a situação, realmente não são problemas psiquiátricos. Reforça-se que considerar todas as facetas de que o indivíduo se constitui, atuando no atendimento centrado na pessoa, na ética e no cuidado. Assim, criando-se uma nova oportunidade de entender a vida, seja ela de forma social, emocional, clínica e também espiritual, onde o bem-estar espiritual é um pilar da saúde integral de um indivíduo e torna-se essencial nas abordagens com os pacientes, principalmente quando se abrange a saúde mental na área da psiquiatria.

Abstract:
This article has the main objective to reflect on how spirituality and mental health are correlated with psychiatry. To this end, the emphasis on differential diagnosis in the face of psychiatric diseases must be observed, and thus the method of bibliographic review will be used through research in PubMed, PsycINFO, Scopus, and SciELO databases using keywords (mediumship, trance, religious experience, psychiatry, mental health) in search of articles with original psychological and psychiatric data on spiritual experiences. The references of the selected articles were also analyzed, based on a review on the topic. There is evidence that psychotic and anomalous experiences are frequent in the general population and that most are not related to psychotic disorders. Although spiritual experiences are not related to mental disorders, it is necessary to deepen the clinical and psychological approach to understand and explain that not all diseases, previously labeled as psychotic and treated with irregular medications for the situation, are not really psychiatric problems. It is reinforced that considering all the facets of which the individual is constituted, acting in person-centered care, ethics and care. Thus, creating a new opportunity to understand life, be it in a social, emotional, clinical and also spiritual way, where spiritual well-being is a pillar of an individual's integral health and becomes essential in the approaches with the patients, especially when mental health is included in the field of psychiatry.
