A EQUIPE DE ENFERMAGEM E O TRATAMENTO DE PACIENTES ONCOLÓGICOS: SENTIMENTOS E EXPERIÊNCIAS
Cuidados Paliativos consistem na assistência promovida por uma equipe multidisciplinar, que objetiva a melhoria da qualidade de vida do paciente e seus familiares diante de uma doença que ameace a vida, por meio da prevenção e alívio do sofrimento. Compreender o significado dos cuidados paliativos é de fundamental importância na assistência a pacientes denominados terminais, ou seja, pacientes em estágio final de vida, sem qualquer possibilidade terapêutica de cura, pois advém a ideia de que não há mais nada a ser feito, entretanto esse paciente está vivo e necessita de cuidados especiais. Sendo assim, o objetivo geral deste artigo é identificar a percepção e sentimentos dos profissionais de enfermagem em relação aos cuidados paliativos. Trata-se de uma revisão integrativa, cuja questão norteadora é a seguinte indagação: “Quais as experiências e sentimentos vivenciados pela equipe de enfermagem no tratamento de pacientes com câncer?”. Percorreram-se as seguintes etapas para sistematizar a pesquisa: estabelecimento da questão norteadora do estudo, pesquisa de artigos na literatura, criação de categorias para os artigos selecionados, avaliação dos dados, interpretação dos resultados obtidos e apresentação da revisão em si. O presente estudo evidenciou que as ideias centrais estão relacionadas aos sentimentos de frustração, insegurança e angústia, além do sentimento de que a formação e atuação profissional estão voltados para o curativo, mas também é perceptível que os enfermeiros apresentam um sentimento de gratificação e dever cumprido ao cuidar desses pacientes, o que ocasiona uma sensação de satisfação. Portanto, as representações sociais dos enfermeiros acerca dos sentimentos relacionados aos cuidados paliativos estão representadas principalmente por sentimentos negativos, provavelmente consequentes ao contexto em que se dá o cuidado.

Abstract:
Palliative Care consists of assistance provided by a multidisciplinary team, which aims to improve the life quality of the patient and his or her families facing a disease that threatens life, through the prevention and relief of suffering. Understanding the meaning of palliative care has a fundamental importance in the assistance of patients denominated as terminal, in other words, patients in the final stage of life, without any therapeutic possibility of cure, because it comes from the idea that there is nothing more to be done, however this patient is alive and needs special care. Therefore, the general objective of this article is to identify the perception and feelings of nursing professionals in relation to palliative care. It is an integrative review, whose guiding question is the following query: "What are the experiences and feelings experienced by the nursing team in the treatment of cancer patients?". The following steps were taken to systematize the research: establishing the guiding question of the study, research of articles in the literature, creation of categories for the selected articles, evaluating the data, interpreting the obtained results and presenting the review itself. The present study showed that the central ideas are related to feelings of frustration, insecurity and anguish, in addition to the feeling that training and professional performance are focused on the healing, but it is also noticeable that the nurses present a feeling of gratification and duty accomplished when caring for these patients, which causes a feeling of satisfaction. Therefore, the nurses' social representations about the feelings related to palliative care are represented mainly by negative feelings, probably due to the context in which the care is provided.
