A Entomologia versus o Antropocentrismo: um arquétipo a ser desvelado
A entomologia é a ciência que estuda
os insetos e tem uma grande importância na
agricultura em todo o mundo. No imaginário
popular, esses organismos são vistos como
seres que só acarretam problemas ao homem,
sendo considerados apenas como pragas
e, por isso, são dizimados, sem que, de fato,
correspondam a essa errônea classificação.
Pela falta de conhecimento sobre esta
importante categoria é que nos propomos a
fazer um debate sobre o tema, com o objetivo
de desmistificá-lo e de elucidar os diversos
benefícios que essas variedades de seres
mantêm nas suas múltiplas inter-relações entre
os seres humanos e o meio ambiente. Para
melhor alicerçar essa iniciativa, o problema será
abordado sob uma ótica de viés mais reflexivo,
evidenciando a natureza destas questões a
partir de uma análise comprometida com uma
crítica ao antropocentrismo. A priorização do
homem como ente racional e privilegiado é
o que impele a sociedade a constantemente
visá-lo, marginalizando os demais seres que
contribuem tanto ou mais para a harmonia e
o equilíbrio naturais do ecossistema. A partir
desta análise de cunho interdisciplinar, propõese
que a investigação do tema em sala de aula
esteja pautada nestes dois eixos principais:
exposição do viés biológico do problema e
crítica filosófica ao comportamento humano
associado ao antropocentrismo.

Abstract:
Entomology is the science that studies insects and has a great importance
in agriculture worldwide. In the popular imagination, these organisms are seen as beings
that only cause problems to man, being considered only as pests and, therefore, are
decimated, without, in fact, corresponding to this erroneous classification. Due to the
lack of knowledge about this important category, we propose to have a debate on the
subject, with the objective of demystifying it and elucidating the many benefits that
these varieties of beings have in their multiple interrelations between human beings
and human beings. the environment. To better support this initiative, the problem will
be approached from a more reflective perspective, highlighting the nature of these
issues from an analysis committed to a critique of anthropocentrism. The prioritization
of man as a rational and privileged being is what impels society to constantly aim at it,
marginalizing other beings that contribute as much or more to the natural harmony and
balance of the ecosystem. From this interdisciplinary analysis, it is proposed that the
investigation of the theme in the classroom is based on these two main axes: exposure
of the biological bias of the problem and philosophical criticism of human behavior
associated with anthropocentrism.
