Abstract: Introduction: Given the biopsychosocial needs of cancer patients in palliative care, Integrative and Complementary Health Practices (ICHP) are key allies in comprehensive and effective care. Objective: To highlight, through scientific literature, the main ICHPs used in nursing care for palliative cancer patients. Method: An exploratory, descriptive study conducted through an integrative literature review in the PubMed, Google Scholar, and Virtual Health Library databases, covering the years 2018-2022 in Portuguese and English. The search was carried out with a combination of the following descriptors: "Nursing", "Palliative Care", "Integrative Complementary Practices", "Complementary Therapies", and "Oncology". The final sample consisted of 12 articles, which were analyzed qualitatively. Results: Among the selected articles, 9 (75%) had an integrative literature review design, 2 (16.7%) were quantitative and qualitative field studies with cancer patients, and only 1 (8.3%) was a randomized clinical trial. The most reported effects after the use of ICHPs were: pain relief, reduction of stress, anxiety, and depressive symptoms, reduction of lymphedema, and improvement in quality of life. Conclusion: The most highlighted ICHPs in the studies were: therapeutic massage, reflexology, acupuncture, music therapy, Reiki, spiritual therapy, homeopathy, aromatherapy, meditation, and yoga. There is significant stigma surrounding the application of ICHPs in care. Nurses are able to provide comfort and improve the quality of life by promoting ICHPs in the daily care of cancer patients.
