A ENFERMAGEM NO CONTROLE DE INFECÇÃO HOSPITALAR EM RECÉM-NASCIDOS SOB CUIDADOS INTENSIVOS: revisão integrativa de literatura
O Enfermeiro, ao fazer parte da
equipe de saúde, independente de compor a
equipe da CCIH, pelas funções que desempenha
dentro das instituições hospitalares, deve estar
apto a desenvolver ações de vigilância das
IH, e atuar como multiplicador das ações de
prevenção. Essa atividade é facilitada pela
criação de protocolos internos de prevenção e
controle das IH, que estejam afixados em locais
estratégicos, que reforcem a necessidade
da adoção de um comportamento adequado
para minimizar os riscos para a ocorrência
das IH. Objetivou-se descrever a atuação
da enfermagem no controle das infecções
hospitalares em recém-nascidos sob cuidados
intensivos. Este estudo bibliográfico do tipo
revisão integrativa de literatura, ocorreu nas
bases de dados PubMed da National Library of
Medicine e BVS (Biblioteca Virtual da Saúde),
coordenada pela BIREME. A busca ocorreu
nos meses de fevereiro e março de 2019 e
incluíram-se apenas publicações de 2014 a
2019, em língua portuguesa, inglesa e espanhol,
que respondessem ao objetivo da pesquisa.
Medidas simples envolvendo a higienização
das mãos e o fortalecimento da abordagem do
pacote de cuidados através da melhoria da qualidade podem reduzir significativamente
as taxas de Infecções. Enfermeiro, ao fazer parte da equipe de saúde, independente
de compor a equipe da CCIH, pelas funções que desempenha dentro das instituições
hospitalares, deve estar apto a desenvolver ações de vigilância das IH, e atuar como
multiplicador das ações de prevenção de infecções hospitalares.

Abstract:
The Nurse, being part of the health team, regardless of being part of the
CCIH team, for the functions they perform within hospital institutions, must be able to
develop surveillance actions of the IH, and act as a multiplier of prevention actions. This
activity is facilitated by the creation of internal protocols for prevention and control of IH,
which are posted in strategic locations, which reinforce the need to adopt appropriate
behavior to minimize the risks for the occurrence of IH. This study aimed to describe
the role of nursing in the control of nosocomial infections in newborns under intensive
care. This bibliographic study of the integrative literature review type occurred in the
PubMed databases of the National Library of Medicine and VHL (Virtual Health Library),
coordinated by BIREME. The search took place in February and March 2019 and only
included publications from 2014 to 2019, in Portuguese, English and Spanish, which met
the research objective. Simple measures involving hand hygiene and strengthening the
care package approach through quality improvement can significantly reduce infection
rates. As a nurse, being part of the health team, regardless of the CCIH team, for the
functions they perform within hospital institutions, he / she should be able to develop
IH surveillance actions, and act as a multiplier of hospital infection prevention actions.
