A EMANCIPAÇÃO DAS MULHERES POR MEIO DA EDUCAÇÃO: GARANTIA DE DIREITOS E AS COTAS NA UNIVERSIDADE
A emancipação das mulheres
por meio da educação se constituiu como
um caminho possível, uma alternativa para
encontrar visibilidade social que lhe foi
recusada pela denominação dos estereótipos
do gênero feminino (GOMES, 1996). Nesse
âmbito, esse estudo pretende contribuir para
um saber interdisciplinar sobre questões de
gênero, étnicas raciais e classe articuladas
à educação. Metodologicamente, a partir
da história oral foram feitas entrevistas com
mulheres cotistas da Universidade Federal
do Tocantins, Câmpus de Araguaína – TO
objetivando acessar suas trajetórias estudantis
e suas vivências na universidade. A partir desse
enfoque foi realizada uma reflexão às questões
que nesse processo emergiram, considerando
que elas são constituintes sociais importantes
deste espaço acadêmico.

Abstract:
The emancipation of women
through education became a possible way, an
alternative to find social visibility that was denied
by the denomination of female stereotypes
(GOMES, 1996). In this context, this study
intends to contribute to an interdisciplinary
knowledge about gender, ethnic and racial
issues and class articulated to education.
Methodologically, from the oral history interviews
were made with female quotaters from the
Federal University of Tocantins, Campus of
Araguaína - TO, aiming to access their student
trajectories and their experiences at the
university. Based on this approach, a reflection
was made on the questions that emerged in this
process, considering that they are important
social constituents of this academic space.
