Abstract: This study is research clipping part of the Graduate Program in Heritage Education, Federal University of Santa Maria focusing on understanding the appreciation of life experiences with a horizon in teaching and learning in Early Childhood Education classes in from the municipality of Faxinal do Soturno. The main objective is to analyze heritage education from the perspective of Early Childhood Education in Faxinal do Soturno, RS. To achieve this, the specific objectives are: a) to provide a theoretical framework on Heritage Education and School in Early Childhood Education, emphasizing the importance of both school and family in the initial phase of social experiences; b) to identify elements constituting affective memories and how they contribute to aspects of cultural heritage appreciation; c) to create, as a product, a child's portfolio integrating their distinct interactions and experiences, aimed at understanding the importance of Heritage Education. Methodologically, this research is exploratory and qualitative, utilizing both secondary and primary data collection at the EMEI Beija-Flor school. As a result, was the creation portfolio child's ao developed as part of the master's thesis highlights the appreciation of a child's social construction starting from school, and the knowledge generated within the family.
