A EDUCAÇÃO LIBERTADORA E SUA RELAÇÃO COM OS MOVIMENTOS SOCIAIS URBANOS
O presente artigo pretende promover, de forma breve, uma análise sobre a relação entre os movimentos sociais urbanos e uma proposta de educação dentro de uma perspectiva libertadora. O objetivo do estudo é favorecer a reflexão sobre a trajetória e as definições dos movimentos sociais urbanos, numa conexão com o processo educativo que tenha um vínculo com a emancipação dos sujeitos por meio da consciência crítica. Para tanto, foram realizados estudos com referências nas obras de autores como Freire, Castells, Lojkine, Viana, entre outros. Após a análise dessas obras, foi possível identificar fatores de atuação dos movimentos sociais urbanos na América Latina; as contribuições do pensamento freireano; a compreensão dessas práticas educacionais emancipatórias em relação aos movimentos sociais urbano. Constatou-se que as transformações na sociedade têm como alicerce a ação coletiva e a reflexão sobre a realidade social que, em muitos casos, são efetivadas por meio da educação interligada aos movimentos sociais urbanos.

Abstract:
This article intends to promote an analysis of the relationship between urban social movements and a proposal for education within a liberating perspective. The aim of the study is to favor reflection on the trajectory and definitions of urban social movements, in a connection with the educational process that has a link with the emancipation of subjects through critical awareness. For this, studies were conducted with references in the works of authors such as Freire, Castells, Lojkine, Viana, among others. After analyzing these works, it was possible to identify factors of action of urban social movements in Latin America; the contributions of Freire's thought; the understanding of these emancipatory educational practices in relation to urban social movements. It was found that the transformations in society are based on collective action and reflection on social reality, which are effected through education interconnected with urban social movements.
