Abstract: This study analyzes the importance and contributions of Participatory Democratic Management as an essential mechanism for the effectiveness of Human Rights Education (HRE) in the school environment. The main objective is to identify connections between the collective participation of all segments—students, families, and professionals—and the formation of emancipated subjects conscious of their citizenship. The methodology used is a Systematic Literature Review (SLR), based on Kitchenham's (2004) guidelines, with a qualitative approach and the use of Bardin's (2016) content analysis technique. The main results indicate that HRE is a multidimensional process that aims to build a culture of respect and equality, overcoming traditional models focused only on transmitting decontextualized content. Participatory management emerges as an indispensable organizational arrangement for these principles to gain materiality, using instruments such as the Political-Pedagogical Project (PPP) and School Councils to value diversity and promote social inclusion. It is concluded that the democratization of school management is a fundamental requirement to transform the school into a laboratory of democracy, breaking with authoritarian structures and fighting structural inequalities. This integration allows students to become protagonists of their history, strengthening plural and peaceful coexistence in the educational routine.
