A EDUCAÇÃO DE SURDOS NA REDE MUNICIPAL DE ENSINO NO MUNICÍPIO DE ABAETETUBA: AVANÇOS E DESAFIOS
O estudo sobre “A Educação de
Surdos na Rede Municipal de Ensino no
município de Abaetetuba- Pará: Avanços e
Desafios, tem como finalidade analisar a
educação dos surdos na rede municipal de
Ensino, uma vez que as pesquisas a respeito
da história da educação de surdos demonstram
claramente o quanto essas pessoas, públicoalvo
da Educação especial foram injustiçadas
ao longo da história da educação, pelos
equívocos ocorridos nas decisões sobre as
melhores maneiras de educá-las, bem como
visa discutir as polêmicas geradas entre as
duas concepções de surdez, clínico-terapêutico
e sócio antropológica, que perduram ainda hoje.
O estudo baseou-se em análise bibliográfica
e documental, adotando-se como referencial
diferentes autores como Alvez (2010), Damázio
(2007), Rapoli (2010) e Mantoan (2007) que
discutem educação especial, inclusão e
surdez e legislações pertinentes. Para tanto,
no primeiro momento, o texto discorre sobre
a definição dos conceitos sobre deficiência
auditiva e surdez, em seguida dialoga sobre
aprendizagem na abordagem histórico-cultural;
apresenta a proposta de educação Bilingue-
Libras e Língua Portuguesa; discorre sobre as
novas diretrizes da educação especial inclusiva
e por fim analisa a educação de alunos surdos
no município de Abaetetuba/Pá. Concluiu-se
que a educação dos alunos surdos, público
da educação especial na rede municipal de
ensino no município de Abaetetuba apresentam
avanços significativos que sinalizam para a
construção de uma proposta inclusiva, no
entanto, faz-se necessário a superação de
barreiras políticas, às quais se constituem em
entraves a uma educação de qualidade.

Abstract:
The study on “The Education of
the Deaf in the Municipal Education Network
in the city of Abaetetuba-Pará: Advances and
Challenges, aims to analyze the education of the
deaf in the municipal network of Education, since
the research on the history of education deaf
people demonstrate clearly how these people,
the target audience of Special Education were
wronged throughout the history of education,
the mistakes made in the decisions about the
best ways to educate them, as well as aims
to discuss the controversies generated between the two conceptions of deafness ,
clinical-therapeutic and anthropological partner, that still exist today. The study was
based on bibliographical and documentary analysis, adopting as reference different
authors such as Alvez (2010), Damázio (2007), Rapoli (2010) and Mantoan (2007) that
discuss special education, inclusion and deafness and relevant legislation. Therefore,
in the first moment, the text discusses the definition of concepts about hearing loss and
deafness, then dialogue about learning in the historical-cultural approach; presents
the Bilingual-Libras and Portuguese Language education proposal; discusses the new
guidelines of inclusive special education and finally analyzes the education of deaf
students in the municipality of Abaetetuba / Pá. It was concluded that the education
of deaf students, public of special education in the municipal education network in the
municipality of Abaetetuba present significant advances that signal the construction of
an inclusive proposal, however, it is necessary to overcome political barriers, the which
constitute barriers to quality education.
