A EDUCAÇÃO AMBIENTAL COMO FORMA DE GARANTIR A SUSTENTABILIDADE DE NASCENTES EM SENTO-SÉ (BA)
No interior do município baiano de
Sento Sé, especificamente, na comunidade de
Brejo da Martinha existem nascentes que há
muitos anos são usadas pela população local,
tanto para consumo humano quanto para usos
doméstico e agropecuário. Nos últimos anos,
foi perceptível a diminuição destas fontes em
seu volume devido ao uso inadequado e a
falta de ações de conservação. Com base no
conceito de sustentabilidade em suas diversas
dimensões, esta pesquisa se propôs a contribuir
com a conservação de duas nascentes,
tratando o tema a partir de abordagem teórica,
contudo também propondo uma intervenção
prática. Para tanto foi indispensável a história
oral, pesquisa bibliográfica e sensibilização
da comunidade com vistas à recuperação e
conservação das nascentes, sendo a realização
de oficinas de educação ambiental com a
comunidade um elemento essencial, adotado
a partir da pesquisa participante. Os resultados
obtidos foram a mobilização da comunidade e
o planejamento de ações de conservação das
nascentes, o que virá a contribuir na gestão e
adoção de novas formas de uso das nascentes.
A pesquisa, além disso, se configurou como
uma referência para outras comunidades da
região de Brejos no Território Sertão do São
Francisco/BA.

Abstract:
Inside the municipal district from
Bahia of I Seat Cathedral, specifically, in the
community of Swamp of Martinha they exist
nascent that there are the local population, for
human consumption and for uses domestic
and agricultural, uses many years. In the last
years, it was perceptible the decrease of these
sources in his/her volume due to the inadequate
use and the lack of conservation actions. With
base in the sustainability concept in their several
dimensions, this research intended to contribute
with the conservation of two nascent, treating
the theme starting from theoretical approach,
however also proposing a practical intervention.
For so much it was indispensable the oral
history, he/she researches bibliographical and
the community’s sensitization with views to the
recovery and conservation of the East, being
the accomplishment of workshops of environmental education with the community an
essential element, adopted starting from the participant research. The obtained results
were the community’s mobilization and the planning of actions of conservation of the
East, what will come to contribute in the administration and adoption in new ways
of use of the East. The research, besides, was configured as a reference for other
communities of the area of Swamps in the Território Sertão of San Francisco/BA
