A DIVERSIDADE DOS SUJEITOS DA EJA: ASPECTOS HISTÓRICOS E SOCIOCULTURAIS NA ATUAL EDUCAÇÃO BRASILEIRA
O presente artigo científico, que apresenta como título “A diversidade dos Sujeitos da EJA: Aspectos históricos e socioculturais na atual educação brasileira”, e como questões problematizadoras “Qual a importância das histórias de vida dos alunos da Educação de Jovens e Adultos - EJA no seu processo identitário? Em que contexto eles estão inseridos na atual Educação Brasileira? Para respondermos tais questões, traçamos como objetivo geral: Compreender a diversidade dos sujeitos da EJA, nos aspectos históricos e socioculturais, relacionados na atual educação brasileira; e como objetivos específicos: analisar quem são e quais são as expectativas dos sujeitos; diferenciar o perfil do jovem e do adulto da EJA; apontar contribuições de Paulo Freire para compreender quem são os sujeitos. Utilizamos a modalidade de prática da pesquisa de campo, numa abordagem qualitativa, por compreendê-la como a classificação mais adequada ao tema investigado, visto que não se considerou apenas a quantificação, mas a interpretação das informações levantadas junto aos discentes, através de um roteiro de entrevista desenvolvido em uma instituição pública no município de Entre Rios –BA. Além da contribuição acadêmica, esperamos que a presente proposta investigativa contribua com o respeito à diversidade dos sujeitos da EJA em todos os aspectos, sejam históricos ou socioculturais. Concluímos, portanto, que embora o sujeito da EJA se perceba de forma desfavorável no contexto que estão inseridos, geralmente, seu reingresso na escola associa-se à procura de melhoria nas condições de vida.

Abstract:
The present scientific article, entitled “The diversity of EJA Subjects: Historical and socio-cultural aspects in current Brazilian education”, and as problematic questions “What is the importance of the life stories of students of Youth and Adult Education - EJA in your identity process? In what context are they inserted in the current Brazilian Education? In order to answer such questions, we have outlined the general objective: To understand the diversity of the subjects of EJA, in the historical and socio-cultural aspects, related in the current Brazilian education; and as specific objectives: to analyze who they are and what are the expectations of the subjects; differentiate the profile of the youth and adult of the EJA; point out contributions by Paulo Freire to understand who the subjects are. We used the modality of practice of field research, in a qualitative approach, for understanding it as the most adequate classification to the investigated theme, since it was not considered only the quantification, but the interpretation of the information gathered from the students, through a questionnaire developed in a public institution in the municipality of Entre Rios –BA. In addition to the academic contribution, we hope that the present investigative proposal contributes with respect for the diversity of the subjects of EJA in all aspects, whether historical or socio-cultural. We conclude, therefore, that although the subject of EJA perceives itself in an unfavorable way in the context in which they are inserted, generally, their reentry to school is associated with the search for improvement in living conditions.
