A DEMÊNCIA DE ALZHEIMER: UMA AÇÃO DE PROMOÇÃO DE SAÚDE
O artigo objetiva relatar a experiência do projeto que resultou na peça teatral intitulada “Nos trilhos da mente”, possuindo como temática a Doença de Alzheimer. Por iniciativa do Médico Psiquiatra Prof. PhD. José Carlos Rosa Pires de Souza, autor do roteiro, e participação do professor de Artes Cênicas Leonardo Arruda Calixto, diretor da peça, o assunto foi tratado de forma holística, abordando a evolução da doença de sua fase inicial até a fase grave, em que o comprometimento psicossocial e cognitivo culminaram na descaracterização da personalidade, na perda de autonomia e até mesmo a fatalidade; as dificuldades enfrentadas pelos familiares, conhecidos e principalmente cuidadores; o preconceito e o desconhecimento por parte da sociedade a respeito da doença. A peça significou um momento de reflexão sobre a Demência de Alzheimer, por meio da comunhão entre as Artes Cênicas e a saúde. Além disso, um debate que oportunizou a retirada de dúvidas da plateia, envolvendo diversos profissionais, ocorreu logo após o espetáculo. Essa foi uma produção da parceria do curso de Medicina e do curso de Artes Cênicas da Universidade Estadual de Mato Grosso do Sul (UEMS) com a participação dos acadêmicos de ambos os cursos. Apresentada no dia 26 de maio de 2017 no teatro do Colégio Dom Bosco em Campo Grande-MS, a peça obteve apoio de diversas entidades e mais de 700 espectadores.

Abstract:
The article aims to report the experience of the project that resulted in the play entitled "In the rails of the mind", with Alzheimer's disease as its theme. At the initiative of the Physician Psychiatrist Prof. José Carlos Rosa Pires de Souza, author of the script, and participation of the Scenic Arts teacher Leonardo Arruda Calixto, director of the piece, the subject was treated in a holistic way, addressing the evolution of the disease from its initial stage to the severe phase, in which the psychosocial and cognitive impairment culminated in the decharacterization of the personality, in the loss of autonomy and even fatality; the difficulties faced by relatives, known and mainly caregivers; the prejudice and the ignorance of the society about the disease. The piece meant a moment of reflection on Alzheimer's Dementia, through communion between the Scenic Arts and health. In addition, a debate that facilitated the audience clarification, involving several professionals, occurred shortly after the show. This was a production of the partnership of the Medical course and the course of Scenic Arts of the State University of Mato Grosso do Sul (UEMS) with the participation of the academics of both courses. Presented on may 26 2017 in the theater of the Dom Bosco College in Campo Grande-MS, the piece obtained support from several entities and more than 700 spectators.
