A CRIMINALIZAÇÃO DA CANNABIS NO MUNDO: UMA HISTÓRIA DE PRECONCEITO E INTERESSES ECONÔMICOS
RESUMO: Inflamadas discussões acerca do tema fazem a cannabis ser um assunto amplamente tratado nos palcos de debates políticos, sociais e econômicos pelo mundo. Presente na humanidade a muito tempo com seu uso abrangido desde rituais religiosos, produção têxtil e de maneira recreativa, esta pesquisa teve o intuito de mostrar como o seu proibicionismo está pautado em interesses específicos. Analisando relatos históricos, livros e artigos científicos foi possível ver que a cannabis, algo que era comum e presente em diversas culturas, passou a ser criminalizada e demonizada por aqueles que tinham motivos puramente financeiros e preconceituosos. Hoje, alguns países já conseguem ver as vantagens que o fim da criminalização pode trazer, tendo em vista o promissor aquecimento do mercado de maconha legal. Diversos setores estão abrindo as portas para o uso da cannabis e colhendo seus frutos.

Abstract:
ABSTRACT: Inflamed discussions on the subject make cannabis a subject widely discussed in the stages of political, social and economic debates around the world. Present in humanity for a long time with its use ranging from religious rituals, textile production and recreationally, this research aimed to show how its prohibitionism is based on specific interests. Analyzing historical reports, books and scientific articles, it was possible to see that cannabis, something that was common and present in different cultures, started to be criminalized and demonized by those who had purely financial and prejudiced reasons. Today, some countries can already see the advantages that the end of criminalization can bring, given the promising heating of the legal marijuana market. Several sectors are opening the doors to the use of cannabis and reaping its rewards.
