A CONTRIBUIÇÃO DA BIBLIOTECA UNIVERSITÁRIA PARA A INFORMAÇÃO CIENTÍFICA DE ACESSO ABERTO
Trata-se de uma reflexão sobre
o acesso aberto a informação científica e
sua implicação na universidade e biblioteca
universitária. Objetiva-se discutir aspectos
da produção do conhecimento científico na
universidade, a função da biblioteca universitária
como facilitadora na divulgação de informações
científicas e apresentar as fontes de informação
de acesso aberto na Universidade Federal do
Ceará. Para a construção dos argumentos
ora apresentados foi empreendida pesquisa
bibliográfica e documental seguida de leituras
e discussões em grupo. As Universidades
são as principais responsáveis pela produção
do conhecimento científico que é veiculado
pelos grandes conglomerados de editoras
de periódicos científicos. O acesso aberto
surge como tendência mundial com iniciativas
observadas em muitas Universidades sem
indícios de apoio governamental. Verificou-se
a preocupação das universidades em dispor a
produção científica realizada pelos docentes
e discentes que compõem a instituição, assim
também como uma diversidade de iniciativas
em vários países em prol do acesso aberto.

Abstract:
It is a reflection on open access
and its application in universities and library
university. The objective is to discuss aspects
of the production of scientific knowledge at
the university, the function of the university
library as a facilitator in the dissemination of
scientific information and make the open access
information sources in the Universidade Federal
do Ceará. For the construction of the arguments
presented here was undertaken literature and
then document readings and group discussions.
Universities are the main responsible for the
production of scientific knowledge that is
transmitted by large conglomerates of scientific
journals publishers. Open access emerges
as global trend with initiatives observed in
many universities without government support
evidence. It was the concern of universities have
scientific production carried out by teachers and students that make up the institution,
so as a variety of initiatives in several countries in favor of open access.
