A CONTRIBUIÇÃO DA ACREDITAÇÃO HOSPITALAR PARA A MELHORIA DOS SERVIÇOS DE ASSISTÊNCIA À SAÚDE
Este artigo tem como objetivo:
analisar como ocorreu o processo de acreditação
em um hospital do estado da Paraíba,
ressaltando a dinâmica de operacionalização
na conquista do nível de acreditado com
excelência. Dessa forma, o desenvolvimento
desse trabalho contribuiu para a literatura da
área, ainda incipiente no Brasil, assim como
auxiliar as operações hospitalares que desejem
melhorar a qualidade de seus processos
por meio da acreditação. Para o alcance do
objetivo foi realizado um estudo de caso em um
hospital de grande porte situado na Paraíba. Os
resultados demonstraram os seguintes ganhos
para a organização: pensamento sistêmico,
cultura de melhoria contínua, maior satisfação
do paciente, o que representa um ganho muito
maior do que apenas a certificação.

Abstract:
This article aims to analyze how
the accreditation process occurred in a hospital
in the state of Paraíba, highlighting the dynamics
of operationalization in achieving the accredited
level with excellence. Thus, the development
of this work contributed to the literature of the
area, still incipient in Brazil, as well as to help
hospital operations that wish to improve the
quality of their processes through accreditation.
A case study was carried out in a large hospital
located in Paraíba. The results showed the
following gains for the organization: systemic
thinking, a culture of continuous improvement,
greater patient satisfaction, which represents a
much greater gain than just certification.
