A CONCEPÇÃO DE IGUALDADE DOS SERES HUMANOS NA PRODUÇÃO TEÓRICA DE PETER SINGER
Objetivou-se com este artigo mostrar a formulação e aplicação da teoria proposta por Peter Singer, valendo-se dos casos hipotéticos indicados pelo pensador em que escolhas e tomadas de decisões, em algumas circunstâncias, são cercadas de polêmicas envolvendo problemas éticos e morais. Sob quais argumentos Peter Singer define e caracteriza a concepção de igualdade entre seres humanos? O que é e como se torna efetivo o princípio da igual consideração de interesse concebido por esse filósofo? Realizamos um estudo a partir de fontes bibliográficas e com natureza de revisão de literatura, por focar a busca da formulação de uma concepção da teoria da igualdade proposta por Peter Singer, na categoria de que “todos os seres humanos são iguais”. Defender a igualdade de todos os seres humanos exige uma fundamentação ética/moral e é aí que repousa a inovação da “regra de ouro” trazida por Singer, para quem a premissa de igual consideração de interesses se apresenta como uma balança, pesando imparcialmente os interesses divergentes, em face da necessidade de agir e decidir.

Abstract:
The objective of this article was to demonstrate the formulation and application of the theory proposed by Peter Singer, using the hypothetical cases indicated by that philosopher in which choices and decision-making, in some circumstances, are surrounded by controversies involving ethical and moral problems. Under what arguments does Peter Singer define and characterize the conception of equality between human beings? What is and how does the principle of equal consideration of interests conceived by this philosopher become effective? We carried out a study from bibliographical sources, with the nature of a literature review, by focusing on the search for the formulation of a conception of the theory of equality proposed by Peter Singer, in the category that “all human beings are equal.” Defending the equality of all human beings requires an ethical/moral foundation, and that is where the innovation of the "golden rule" brought by Singer lies, for whom the premise of equal consideration of interests presents itself as a scale, impartially weighing diverging interests, in the face of the need to act and decide.
