A COMPLEXIFICAÇÃO DO PROCESSO CIVILIZADOR NOS DISCURSOS DA MÍDIA ESPORTIVA NO MIXED MARTIAL ARTS - MMA FEMININO
O objetivo é analisar a participação da mulher no MMA (Mixed Martial Arts) a partir dos discursos da mídia esportiva. O esporte, constituinte do processo civilizador (ELIAS e DUNNING, 1992), que privilegia a ‘excitação’ no contexto de controle social vigente; aliado ao conceito de informalização de Wouters (1986), são chaves interpretativas para o percurso de análise sobre a recente e crescente participação feminina no esporte de combate, que consiste na flexibilização dos códigos, valores e comportamentos deste espaço social predominantemente masculino. A inserção feminina no MMA e em outros espaços de poder parece contribuir com a tessitura de novos mecanismos de controle social, particularmente dirigidos a produção do corpo feminino, ao mesmo tempo em que permite um equilíbrio desigual da tensão de poderes entre homens e mulheres, que representa a complexificação do processo civilizador.

Abstract:
The objective is to analyze the participation of women in MMA (Mixed Martial Arts) from the speeches of the sports media. Sport, a constituent of the civilizing process (ELIAS and DUNNING, 1992), in which privileges 'excitement' in the context of current social control; combined with the concept of informalization by Wouters (1986), are interpretive keys for the analysis path about the recent and growing female participation in combat sport, which consists in the flexibility of the codes, values and behaviors of this predominantly male social space. The female insertion in MMA and in other spaces of power seems to contribute to the fabric of new mechanisms of social control, particularly aimed at the production of the female body, at the same time that it allows an unequal balance of the tension of powers between men and women, which represents the complexification of the civilizing process.
