A CIÊNCIA É RACIONAL? TENTATIVA DE RESPOSTA EM PAUL FEYERABEND E EDGAR MORIN
O objetivo deste trabalho é pensar sobre a racionalidade na ciência. Foi realizado um exercício de pensamento a partir da leitura de filósofos que estudam a obra Contra o Método, de Paul Feyerabend, e estudos nas obras Meus Filósofos e Ciência com Consciência, de Edgar Morin. Nos estudos desenvolvidos, é possível inferir que Feyerabend critica a existência de um modelo racional universalista para a ciência, problematizando a ciência como atividade puramente racional, objetiva e neutra. Por outro lado, Morin indica a necessidade de uma ciência não disjuntiva, bem como a importância do conhecimento do conhecimento científico. É possível considerar que embora os autores apresentem bases epistemológicas distintas, ambas as obras são atuais e se complementam, ao possibilitar reflexões acerca da necessidade de se pensar a ciência, o campo da educação matemática e as críticas produzidas por ambos os pensadores.

Abstract:
The main goal of this work is to think of rationality in science. An exercise in thinking was carried out from the reading of philosophers who study the work Against the Method by Paul Feyerabend and from studies in the works My Philosophers and Science with Conscience by Edgar Morin. It is feasible to infer in the developed that Feyerabend criticizes the existence of a rational model for universal science. He discusses science as a purely rational, objective, and neutral activity. On the other hand, Morin points out the demand for non-disjunctive science, as well as the importance of knowledge of scientific knowledge. It is possible to consider that, although the authors present different epistemological bases, both works are current and complement each other by allowing reflections on the need of thinking on science, as well as on the field of mathematics education and the criticisms produced by both thinkers.
