A CARTOGRAFIA TEMÁTICA NA REPRESENTAÇÃO DA DIFUSÃO DA COVID-19: ESTUDO DE CASO NO ESTADO DE SANTA CATARINA ENTRE 12/03/2020 E 09/08/2020
A cartografia tem por finalidade apresentar informações precisas espacializadas na forma de mapas e simbologia específica. É a área do conhecimento responsável por organizar as informações de forma inteligível e permitir a abstração necessária passível de ser entendida pelo público, inclusive leigo. Os produtos cartográficos, provenientes da pandemia de COVID-19 são exemplos de utilização onde os focos da doença são espacializados e é permitida tomar decisões a partir deles. Para colaborar na tomada de decisão este trabalho tem por objetivo utilizar métodos da cartografia temática para representar a difusão da COVID-19 em Santa Catarina entre os dias 12/03/2020 e 09/08/2020. Para atingir aos objetivos o método se dividiu em pesquisa histórica e documental, compilação e organização de dados e produção de mapas temáticos quantitativos por figuras geométricas proporcionais, qualitativos coropléticos e de densidade de Kernel. Como resultados foram produzidos relatos qualitativos e mapas dos casos confirmados e óbitos a cada 30 dias. Conclui-se que a rota de difusão do COVID-19 coincidiu com a dos eixos rodoviários principais de SC, como o da BR-101, articulando os municípios litorâneos e pré-litorâneos do estado, em um primeiro momento afetando a Capital, Florianópolis e, após seguindo caminho pelas BR-282 e BR-153, integrando os municípios do Oeste catarinense, notadamente Concórdia e Chapecó, importantes centros agroindustriais fortemente afetados pela doença durante os meses de maio e junho. Durante o mês de julho foi percebido o deslocamento do aumento de número de casos confirmados e óbitos para a maior cidade do Estado em número de habitantes, Joinville.

Abstract:
Cartography aims to present accurate spatialized information in the form of maps and specific symbols. It is the area of knowledge responsible for organizing information in an intelligible way and allowing the necessary abstraction that can be understood by the public, including the layperson. Cartographic products from the COVID-19 pandemic are examples of use where the outbreaks of the disease are spatialized, and decisions are made based on them. To collaborate in decision-making, this work aims to use thematic cartography methods to represent the diffusion of COVID-19 in Santa Catarina between 03/12/2020 and 08/09/2020. To achieve the objectives, the method was divided into historical and documentary research, compilation and organization of data and production of quantitative thematic maps by proportional geometric figures, qualitative choropletic and heat Kernel. As a result, qualitative reports and maps of confirmed cases and deaths were produced every 30 days. It is concluded that the diffusion route of COVID-19 coincided with that of the main highway axes of SC, such as that of BR-101, articulating the coastal and pre-coastal municipalities of the state, at first affecting the Capital, Florianópolis and , after following the path through BR-282 and BR-153, integrating the municipalities of western Santa Catarina, notably Concórdia and Chapecó, important agro-industrial centers strongly affected by the disease during the months of May and June. During July it was noticed the displacement of the increase in the number of confirmed cases and deaths to the largest city in the State in inhabitants, Joinville.
