A BIOMASSA COMO FONTE RENOVÁVEL DE ENERGIA ELÉTRICA: UMA REVISÃO CONTEXTUAL
– A crescente demanda energética e a preocupação com os problemas ambientais têm promovido significativas mudanças na estrutura do sistema elétrico atual caracterizadas pela inserção de fontes alternativas de energia. Nesse cenário, a biomassa tem se destacado por não depender de fatores climáticos e proporcionar uma redução dos gastos com a transmissão de energia elétrica. Deste modo, através da revisão literária, fez-se um estudo, no que tange ao contexto e perspectivas das energias renováveis no cenário mundial e brasileiro, destacando a biomassa como alternativa à produção de energia elétrica. Além disso, foram apresentadas contribuições a respeito da inserção da geração distribuída na matriz energética brasileira, destacando a biomassa nesse contexto.

Abstract:
– The increasing energy demand and the concern about the environmental problems have been stimulating significant changes in the structure of the current electrical system characterized by the insertion of alternative sources of energy. In this scenario, biomass is drawing attention not only because it does not depend on climatic factors but also because it provides a reduction of the expenses related to electric energy transmission. Thus, through the literary review, a study was made, regarding the context and perspectives of renewable energies in the world and Brazilian scenario, focusing on biomass as an alternative to the electric energy production. In addition, contributions were made regarding the insertion of distributed generation into the Brazilian energy matrix, highlighting biomass in this context.
