A ATUAÇÃO DOS VENTOS EM PALMAS, TO
Este artigo tem como objetivo analisar
a direção e a velocidade dos ventos na cidade
de Palmas, TO, devido à escassez de estudos
climáticos sobre os ventos na região. Dados
horários da estação meteorológica automática
do INMET de 2005 a 2017 são tratados no
WRPLOT View, gerando tabelas de frequências
e gráficos circulares baseados na rosa dos
ventos. A análise considera a variação sazonal,
mensal e horária da ventilação, relacionando as
direções às massas de ar atuantes. Verifica-se
a existência de dois períodos distintos durante
o ano: um no inverno, com menos calmarias,
direção leste e maior velocidade; e o outro
nas demais estações, com muitas calmarias,
ventos mais fracos e direção variável. Durante
os períodos do dia, há mais calmarias e ventos
mais fracos no período noturno, direção leste
no período diurno, e leste e norte no período
noturno.

Abstract:
This paper aims to analyze
the direction and speed of winds in the city
of Palmas, state of Tocantins, Brazil, due to
lack of climate studies about the winds in the
region. INMET timetable data from automatic
weather station from 2005 to 2017 are treated in
WRPLOT View, producing frequency tables and
circle charts based on rose of the winds. The
analysis considers seasonal variation, monthly
and hourly ventilation, and the directions
are relate to active air masses. There is the
existence of two distinct periods during the
year: one in the winter, with fewer calms, east
direction and greater speed; and the other in the
other stations with many calms, weaker winds
and changing direction. During periods of the
day, are calms and weaker winds at night, east
direction during the day, and east and north at
night.
