Abstract: Chapter: The Role of the Pedagogue in Reflective Groups on Domestic Violence: A Gender Perspective This chapter analyzes the role of the pedagogue in non-school contexts, specifically in leading reflective groups with perpetrators of domestic violence, from a critical gender perspective. The pedagogical work in this field is carried out through educational practices aimed at deconstructing cultural and social patterns that legitimize violence against women. The text starts from the understanding that domestic violence is rooted in a structure of gender inequality, supported by patriarchal and sexist discourses. In this context, the pedagogue acts as a mediator, promoting spaces for listening, dialogue, and critical reflection in reflective groups, often linked to the support network for combating violence against women and the fulfillment of educational measures established by the Maria da Penha Law. The training of the pedagogue is highlighted as essential for addressing topics such as toxic masculinities, power relations, empathy, and accountability. The professional works not only with educational content but also with participatory methodologies that allow participants to recognize and reframe their violent behaviors. Furthermore, the chapter emphasizes the importance of intersectoral work and interdisciplinarity, integrating pedagogy, psychology, social work, and the judicial system. In this scenario, the pedagogue contributes to the prevention of recidivism and the construction of a culture of peace and gender equity. Finally, the text reinforces that the pedagogue’s role in reflective groups must be committed to human rights and social transformation. It is a practice that requires sensitivity, active listening, and continuous critical training.
