A ATUAÇÃO DO ASSISTENTE SOCIAL NA AVALIAÇÃO DE PACIENTES EM ACOMPANHAMENTO PRÉ-TRANSPLANTE RENAL EM UM HOSPITAL UNIVERSITÁRIO DE FORTALEZA-CE
No campo da saúde, a atuação do
assistente social tem como finalidade valorizar
a dimensão social e subjetiva dos indivíduos
nas práticas de atenção e gestão, efetivando
os princípios e diretrizes do SUS. No âmbito
do transplante renal, campo empírico deste
trabalho, verifica-se que a vulnerabilidade
social é um dos principais determinantes do
processo saúde-doença, configurando-se
como obstáculo a adesão ao tratamento de
saúde. Este estudo busca analisar a atuação
profissional do assistente social no processo de
avaliação social dos usuários que se encontram
em acompanhamento pré-transplante renal
no Hospital Universitário Walter Cantídio
(HUWC), em Fortaleza, Ceará. Trata-se de
uma pesquisa bibliográfica e documental que
analisou o instrumental da entrevista social
realizada pelos profissionais de serviço social
no ambulatório de transplante renal do HUWC.
Utilizou-se a entrevista social como instrumento
que subsidia a avaliação social, considerando
os contextos socioeconômicos, políticos,
culturais e ambientais em que os indivíduos
estão inseridos e as possíveis situações de
vulnerabilidade social que repercutem sobre o
processo de adesão. Mediante a identificação
dos determinantes sociais da saúde, o
assistente social realiza o acompanhamento ao
paciente e sua família e intervém em situações
que se referem à organização da vida. A
avaliação social poderá ser favorável se, após
essas intervenções, o usuário obtiver condições
objetivas de aderir ao transplante. Deverão ser
avaliados os possíveis riscos de não adesão e
o comprometimento a recuperação do paciente.
Pode-se apreender que o transplante vai além
da substituição de órgãos adoecidos por outros
saudáveis, sendo de fundamental importância
uma atuação interdisciplinar.

Abstract:
In health studies, the social worker’s performance aims to enrich the
social and subjective dimension of the individuals in the care and management
practices, effecting the principles and directives of SUS. In the scope of kidney
transplantation, the empirical field of this study, it is verified that social vulnerability is
one of the main determinants of the health-disease process, configuring itself as an
obstacle to adherence to health treatment. This study aims to analyze the professional
performance of the social worker in the process of social evaluation of the patients who
are in kidney pre-transplant at the Hospital Universitário Walter Cantídio (HUWC), in
Fortaleza, Ceará. This is a bibliographical and documentary research that analyzed
the instrument of the social interview conducted by social workers of the renal
transplantation ambulatory of HUWC. Social interview was used as an instrument that
subsidizes social evaluation, considering the social, economic, political, cultural and
environmental contexts in which individuals are inserted and the possible situations
of social vulnerability that have repercussions on the adhesion process. Through the
identification of the social determinants of health, the social worker follows the patient
and his family and intervenes in situations that refer to the organization of life. The social
evaluation may be favorable if, after these interventions, the user obtains objective
conditions to adhere to the transplant. The possible risks of non-adherence and the
commitment to recovery of the patient should be evaluated. It can be understood that
transplantation goes beyond the substitution of diseased organs for healthy ones, being
of fundamental importance an interdisciplinary action.
