O presente artigo analisa a atuação do 2º Batalhão de Missões Especiais – 2º BME da Polícia Militar do Pará no atendimento de ocorrências envolvendo pessoas em surto psicótico no município de Santarém/PA. Com este breve estudo busca-se compreender de que forma o 2º BME atua no apoio a Serviço de Atendimento Móvel de Urgência (SAMU) nesse tipo de ocorrênicas de maneira técnica, legal e humanizada, observando os Procedimentos Operacionais Padrão (POP) da PMPA, especialmente o POP 031 e demais protocolos relacionados à intervenção em crise e ao uso progressivo da força. Adota-se metodologia descritiva com abordagem quantitativa, a partir do levantamento de dados estatísticos das ocorrências atendidas no período de 2024 e 2025, com dados coletados por meio dos relatórios de produtividades do 2º BME dos anos de 2024 e 2025. Conclui-se que a atuação especializada do 2º BME em ocorrências envolvendo indivíduos em surto psicótico é uma área complexa e crítica que requer preparo técnico e ação intersetorial, sendo a atuação do Policiamento Especializado fundamental para garantir a preservação da vida, a proteção da equipe de saúde e a observância dos direitos humanos, reforçando a necessidade de integração interinstitucional e capacitação continuada.

  • Abstract: This article analyzes the performance of the 2nd Special Missions Battalion (2º BME) of the Military Police of Pará in responding to incidents involving individuals experiencing psychotic episodes in the municipality of Santarém, Pará, Brazil. This study aims to understand how the 2º BME provides support to the Mobile Emergency Care Service (SAMU) in such situations in a technical, legal, and humane manner, considering the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) of the PMPA, especially SOP 031, as well as other protocols related to crisis intervention and the use of force continuum. A descriptive methodology with a quantitative approach was adopted, based on the collection of statistical data from incidents attended during the years 2024 and 2025, using productivity reports from the 2º BME. The findings indicate that specialized police action in cases involving individuals undergoing psychotic episodes is a complex and critical area that requires technical preparedness and intersectoral coordination. The role of specialized policing is essential to ensure the preservation of life, the protection of healthcare teams, and the safeguarding of human rights, reinforcing the need for interinstitutional integration and continuous training.
