A ARTE DE ISMAEL NERY
O assunto principal deste texto é a imagética que constitui Ismael Nery a partir
de sua produção plástica. Visa-se, portanto, tendo em vista a análise de
algumas obras, verificar as diversas influências recebidas como
expressionismo, cubismo, dentre outras e como elas funcionaram de modo
produtivo em sua arte. Em sua fase final, destaca-se a aproximação evidente à
linguagem surrealista, mas também a importância do essencialismo sobre sua
poética. Por fim, verifica-se que a imagética que produz, em seu período
expressionista, constitui a base de sua conceituação essencialista e que o
procedimento operativo e o pensar filosófico formam uma unidade no conjunto
de sua poética.

Abstract:
The main subject of this text is the imagery that constitutes Ismael Nery from his
plastic production. Therefore, from the analysis of some works, the aim is to
verify the various influences received such as expressionism, cubism, among
others, and how they functioned in a productive way ins his art. In its final
phase, the evident approach to surrealist language stands out, as well as the
strength of essentialism on its poetics. Finally, it is verified that the imagery that
he produces, in his expressionist period, constitutes the basis of his essentialist
conceptualization and that the operative procedure and the philosophical
thinking form a unity in the set of his poetics.
