Abstract: This chapter, based on a case study within the context of Early Childhood Education (ECE), explores the relevance of children's voice and agency specifically in the process of planning educational action. The research aims to understand the role of the child and the educator in the co-construction of planning, as well as the conceptions of early childhood educators regarding children's participation in this process. Data analysis, obtained through participant observation and interviews, demonstrates that the active integration of the child's perspective into planning, through listening to their proposals and interests, significantly increases their involvement, motivation, and ownership of learning. Participatory planning, which balances the educator's curricular intentions with the children's suggestions, emerges as an essential pedagogical practice for recognizing the child as an active, competent subject and protagonist of their educational journey.
