A ÁREA DA MATEMÁTICA E O TRABALHO PEDAGÓGICO COM CRIANÇAS: ABORDAGEM TEÓRICO-METODOLÓGICA
O objetivo deste ensaio teórico
diz respeito à reflexão sobre o ensino da
matemática com crianças na etapa da educação
infantil e anos iniciais do ensino fundamental.
Concebe-se a matemática como uma área
relevante do currículo insitucional, a qual pode
ser desenvolvida com situações da realidade
dos sujeitos aprendentes, levando-os a
pensarem sobre a função social dos conteúdos.
O ensino da matemática requer, por parte do
professor, pensar sobre um planejamento
que possa mobilizar os saberes das crianças
em relação aos saberes disciplinares, como
também, pensar em recursos avaliativos que
possam refletir o aprendizado das crianças,
considerando o processo e, não apenas
o produto. Desta maneira, o ensino da
matemática objetiva participar da construção
da cidadania das crianças, quando busca a
contextualização dos conteúdos e o uso de
recursos pedagógicos e metodológicos que
favoreçam esse trabalho, tendo a criança como
um ser social, participativa e inventiva. Utilizouse
como metodologia para a contrução deste
ensaio, a pesquisa bibliográfica, pois para
Vergara (2000), a mesma desenvolve-se por
meio de materiais já produzidos, os quais são
importantes para o levantamento de aspectos
ligados a pesquisa.

Abstract:
The objective of this theoretical
essay is the reflection about the teaching
of mathematics with children in the stage of
early childhood education and initial years of
elementary school. Mathematics is conceived
as a relevant area of the school curriculum,
which can be developed with situations of the
reality of the learning subjects, leading them to
think about the social function of the contents.
The teaching of mathematics requires, on the
part of the teacher, to think about a planning
that can mobilize the children´s knowledge in
relation to the disciplinary knowledge, as well
as to think of evaluation resources that can
reflect the children’s learning, considering the
process and not only the product. In this way,
the teaching of mathematics aims to participate
in the construction of children’s citizenship,
when it seeks the contextualization of contents
and the use of pedagogical and methodological
resources that favor this work, having the child as a social being, participatory and
inventive. As a methodology for the construction of this essay, the bibliographical
research was used, because for Vergara (2000) it´s developed through materials
already produced, which are important for surveying aspects related to research.
