A ANTROPOLOGIA NA CONSTRUÇÃO DO CONHECIMENTO EM CIÊNCIAS DA COMUNICAÇÃO
Estudamos as contribuições da Antropologia no campo da Comunicação, a partir da história da constituição disciplinar dos saberes antropológicos na Escola de Comunicações e Artes, da Universidade de São Paulo (ECA/USP), desde 1970; da análise do repertório teórico-metodológico dos programas de ensino; das respostas concedidas por 112 estudantes de comunicação, pertencentes a 9 turmas, de 2004 a 2009; e dos dados de diário de campo, que cultivamos, nesse período, ao lecionar antropologia para comunicadores. No percurso de pesquisa, destacou-se a relevância da hipótese atribuída a Claude Lévi-Strauss, de que a comunicação funda a vida social. O pioneirismo de Egon Schaden ao criar a matéria de Antropologia da Comunicação, em 1970. As contribuições da Antropologia Visual, de John Collier, da Antropologia Compartilhada, de Jean Rouch, e da Antropologia Cultural, de Clifford Geertz, na formação dos comunicadores, por iniciativa dos professores Solange Couceiro de Lima e Marco Antônio Guerra, em ação conjunta entre 1977 e 1987. E as reflexões contemporâneas propostas por Roberto Da Matta, Gilberto Velho e Eduardo Viveiros de Castro. Os achados de pesquisa indicam que premissas, hipóteses, questionamentos, conceitos e argumentos antropológicos se apresentam férteis nos estudos de comunicação.

Abstract:
We studied the contributions of Anthropology in the field of Communication, from the history of the disciplinary constitution of anthropological knowledge at the School of Communications and Arts, University of São Paulo (ECA / USP), since 1970; the analysis of the theoretical-methodological repertoire of teaching programs; the answers given by 112 communication students, belonging to 9 classes, from 2004 to 2009; and the field diary data, which we cultivated in that period when teaching anthropology to communicators. In the research path, the relevance of the hypothesis attributed to Claude Lévi-Strauss, that communication founds social life, was highlighted. Egon Schaden's pioneering spirit in creating the subject of Communication Anthropology in 1970. The contributions of Visual Anthropology, John Collier, Shared Anthropology, Jean Rouch, and Cultural Anthropology, by Clifford Geertz, in the training of communicators, for initiative of professors Solange Couceiro de Lima and Marco Antônio Guerra, in joint action between 1977 and 1987. And the contemporary reflections proposed by Roberto Da Matta, Gilberto Velho and Eduardo Viveiros de Castro. The research findings indicate that anthropological premises, hypotheses, questions, concepts and arguments are fertile in communication studies.
