A ADAPTAÇÃO TEATRAL: EFEITOS DE SENTIDO DA OBRA LITERÁRIA NO TEXTO DRAMÁTICO.
Essa pesquisa tem como propósito um estudo intermidiático entre a literatura e o teatro. Analisa, através da literatura comparada e da arte teatral, como se desenvolveu a adaptação da peça de teatro, um musical cômico-fantástico, Memórias Póstumas de Brás Cubas, a partir do romance de mesmo nome de Machado de Assis. Para tal, considera os conceitos teatrais brechtianos, bem como as definições da carnavalização literária e do gênero cômico-fantástico em relação à obra machadiana. Da mesma forma, investiga a adaptação do meio livro para outro meio – o teatro - pela ótica teórico-conceitual dos estudos intermidiáticos. Como uma parte essencial da adaptação, considera-se também o processo de roteirização. A análise comparativa entre os dois meios, contextualiza-se, de forma sucinta, através da história do teatro assim como da história do teatro musical no Brasil. Os resultados da pesquisa mostram a importância de expandir o estudo das obras literárias em seus diálogos com outros meios e, também, a relevância de refletir sobre os efeitos de sentido da obra literária no texto dramático.

Abstract:
This paper aims at studying an intermediality between literature and theatre. It analyzes, through comparative literature and theatrical art, how the adaptation of the comic-fantastic musical play developed Memórias Póstumas de Brás Cubas, from the novel of the same name by Machado de Assis. It considers brechtian theatrical concepts as well as the definitions of literary carnivalization and the comic-fantastic genre in relation to the Machado de Assis’ work. Likewise, it investigates the adaptation of the half book to another medium - theater - from the theoretical-conceptual perspective of intermedia studies. As an essential part of adaptation is also considered the scripting process. The comparative analysis between the two media is contextualized, succinctly, through the history of theater as well as the history of musical theater in Brazil. The results of the research show the importance of expanding the study of literary works in their dialogues with other media and the relevance of reflecting on the meaning effects of literary work on the dramatic text.
