AN ANALYSIS OF LAW AND ORDER GUARANTEE OPERATIONS IN CIVIL-MILITARY RELATIONS IN BRAZIL
This article aims to carry out an analysis of the Law and Order Guarantee Operations and their impact on civil-military relations in Brazil from the perspective of civil control theorized by Samuel Huntington, mainly after the country's redemocratization period. The study is based on primary and secondary sources on the subject and is approached in a qualitative way. In the development of the study, the historical context of the Armed Forces will be addressed in order to generate a clear understanding of the military's historical interventionist policy. At the end, considerations will be presented on whether or not the hypothesis proposed in this study is proven.

Abstract:
