Abstract: This review aims to present the book “Fique por dentro da evolução” by David Burnie. The work explores the history of how the idea of evolution has been present in human societies and the challenges it faced until becoming a theory widely accepted by science. The key concepts essential for understanding the state of the art of evolutionary theory are presented throughout the book. The work is certainly more than a basic guide to understanding the theory of evolution.
