TRADUCCIÓN Y ADAPTACIÓN CULTURAL DE LA HERRAMIENTA JEBSEN AND TAYLOR HAND FUNCTION TEST A POBLACIÓN MEXICANA
Se realizó un estudio cuyo objetivo fue establecer para el español mexicano una versión equivalente, valida y confiable de la herramienta Jebsen and Taylor Hand Function Test. Se trató de un estudio observacional analítico prospectivo. Se utilizó muestreo no probabilístico por conveniencia el cual se realizó en 50 estudiantes sanos. Para fines de la investigación se dividió la muestra en dos grupos 50% a los que se les aplico la herramienta JTHF en su versión traducida y 50% a los que se les aplico la herramienta JTHF en su versión original en inglés. Para el análisis de consistencia interna de la herramienta se utilizó correlación de Pearson, Alpha de Cronbach y/o F de Fisher. La traducción y adaptación cultural de la herramienta JBHFT fue evaluada y supervisada por un grupo de expertos, se encontró una adecuada aceptabilidad y validez cultural de la traducción al no observarse cambios en mediciones repetidas en la misma población, así como adecuada consistencia interna. No se observó diferencia entre la duración y evaluación de la prueba y las subcategorías entre la versión original y la propuesta de versión traducida y adaptada culturalmente a la población mexicana sin alteraciones funcionales.

Abstract:
A study was carried out whose objective was to establish for Mexican Spanish an equivalent, valid and reliable version of the Jebsen and Taylor Hand Function Test tool. It was a prospective analytical observational study. Non-probabilistic convenience sampling was used, which was carried out in 50 healthy students. For the purposes of the research, the sample was divided into two groups: 50% to whom the JTHF tool was applied in its translated version and 50% to whom the JTHF tool was applied in its original version in English. For the analysis of internal consistency of the tool, Pearson's correlation, Cronbach's Alpha and / or Fisher's F were used. The translation and cultural adaptation of the JBHFT tool was evaluated and supervised by a group of experts, an adequate acceptability and cultural validity of the translation was found as no changes were observed in repeated measurements in the same population, as well as adequate internal consistency. No difference was observed between the duration and evaluation of the test and the subcategories between the original version and the proposed version translated and culturally adapted to the Mexican population without functional alterations.
