Instrument of self-assessment, accessible and suitable for active subjects that considers the dimensions of general well-being, home-work interface, job satisfaction, control at work, working conditions and work-related stress. Descriptive and correlational study of a random sample of 183 nursing teachers with the goals of semantic and culturally adaption the scale for Portuguese "The Work-Related Quality of Life (Qowl) Scale" and assess its psychometric properties. Translated from English to English Portuguese, subjected to back-translation and analyzed the conceptual and linguistic equivalence. Evaluated the psychometric characteristics, validity and reliability with internal consistency analysis of its variables.
The distribution of items by four factors explained 62.11% of the total variance. The correlations between the factors and the overall value of the scale, range from 0.559 (F4) and 0.882 (F2) revealing highly significant. The correlations between the four factors range from 0.157 (F3 / F4) and 0.565 (F1 / F2), being very significant. The results allow us to conclude that the scale of Related Quality of Life with Work (QVRT) has good psychometric characteristics.
