Abstract: Teaching English in Brazil is essential for academic and professional development, especially in a globalized context. In the state of Goiás, elementary school students face significant challenges, such as the lack of updated teaching resources and the low number of hours dedicated to the language. Considering that students are digital natives, the use of technologies can enhance learning, promoting greater engagement through online platforms and gamified applications. The state has invested in initiatives such as expanding school connectivity and the GoEnglish program, which trains teachers in the use of digital platforms. The general objective of this study is to analyze how digital technologies can contribute to improving English language teaching in public schools in the state of Goiás. Specifically, it seeks to understand the role of the National Common Curricular Base (BNCC) 2018 in this context, identify challenges faced by teachers and students, and describe the technologies used. The research was structured in six chapters, covering everything from the theoretical basis to the analysis of the actions implemented in schools. The results highlight the importance of teacher training and public investment for the effectiveness of digital tools in language teaching. It is concluded that technology can be an ally in learning the English language, as long as it is strategically integrated into the school curriculum.
