PROFESSOR ALCINO LÁZARO'S SURGICAL TECHNIQUE: AN EPIDEMIOLOGICAL SURVEY ON ITS USE IN NORTHEAST BRAZIL
The present study in question aims to improve an epidemiological survey in relation to the use of Professor Alcino Lázaro's technique for correction of incisional hernias. The main factor of this work is to measure the use of this technique by general surgeons in the states of Rio Grande do Norte and Ceará, in Northeast Brazil. In this sense, this survey brings a quantitative of the technical applicability of such knowledge proposed by the teacher in question, aiming to interpret and discuss data obtained. In the meantime, this work is based on a factor to understand the reasoning of this technique so important in the treatment of correction of incisional hernias.
