Underreporting of domestic violence against women in the city of Rio Branco AC Amazônia Oeste

Introduction: It addresses the underreporting of physical, sexual and psychological/moral and property violence suffered by women, and the consequences they suffer, the arbitrariness in which they are imposed is evident and the data are portrayed every day by communication portals and media, positions of submission are assigned to them on a daily basis. Mental, emotional, economic damage is irreparable over generations, even though over the centuries, they have been gaining rights that are guaranteed by the federal constitution, in practice reality is still very distant, thus making a huge disparity between genders. Objective: To analyze the underreporting of domestic violence against women in Rio Branco, Acre, in the last 5 years. Method: Ecological study of retrospective time series, from official secondary databases of the Ministry of Health/DATASUS and complementary secondary data from Epidemiological Surveillance in Health/SEMSA of Rio Branco-Acre. It should be noted that these are raw data without identifying the victims and fully respecting resolutions 466/2012, 510/2016 and their inter-institutional prerogatives. Results: Violence data in the DATASUS/TABNET platform record contains a much smaller amount than SEMSA data and also does not match data from the media. Conclusion: The underreporting of violence against women in the State of Acre exists and is not properly registered in the institutions responsible for this demand, compromising the creation of public policies to transform the reality in homes in Rio Branco-AC.
