INSTITUCIONES DE ASISTENCIA SOCIAL PARA EL ADULTO MAYOR
Con el registro de 17 958 707 personas de 60 años y más (INEGI,2022), en México es importante conocer la existencia de instituciones de asistencia social para responder a las necesidades de la población. Para detectar la existencia de instituciones públicas y privadas que prestan un servicio a la población adulta mayor, se implementó el método cuantitativo a partir de la aplicación del estudio de caso para lograr la estadística de los organismos y con apoyo del Directorio Estadístico Nacional de Unidades Económicas (DENUE), se localizaron 2295 corporaciones dedicadas a la atención del adulto mayor, divididas entre 1163 instituciones públicas y 1132 del sector privado, ubicándose en distintos Estados de la República mexicana e identificándose con diversas denominaciones.

Abstract:
With the registration of 17, 958, 707 persons aged 60 and over (INEGI,2022), in México it is important to be aware of the existence of social assistance institutions to respond to the needs of the population. To detect the existence of public and private institutions that provide a service to the elderly population, the quantitative method was implemented based on the application of the case study to obtain statistics on the organizations and with the support of the DENUE platform, 2295 corporations dedicated to the care of the elderly were located, divided between 1163 public institutions and 1132 from the private sector, located in different states of the Mexican Republic and identified by different names.
