Challenges to be solved in distance learning at the Superior School of Commerce and Administration Santo Tomás Unit of `` Instituto Politécnico Nacional``

Esta ponencia es sobre una investigación realizada por parte de la Subdirección Académica y docentes de la Escuela Superior de Comercio y Administración, Unidad Santo Tomás (ESCASTO), del Instituto Politécnico Nacional (IPN). En una investigación descriptiva cuyo objetivo fue investigar la opinión del estudiante sobre el programa de educación a distancia que cursan y en relación con la interacción que se establece cuando se realizan trabajos en conjunto con otras personas. Se construyó un cuestionario tipo Likert con 39 reactivos. Se publicó en la plataforma durante dos meses y se invitó a los estudiantes a que le dieran respuesta. Se obtuvo una n = 35 estudiantes de Contaduría Pública y n = 25 estudiantes de la licenciatura en Relaciones Comerciales. Los hallazgos principales permiten concluir que los alumnos están contentos de cursar un programa a distancia, están motivados, sin embargo no a todos les gusta trabajar en grupos heterogéneos ni hacer trabajo colaborativo.

  • Abstract:

    This presentation is about an investigation carried out by the Academic Subdirectorate and teachers of the Higher School of Commerce and Administration, Santo Tomás Unit (ESCASTO), of `` Instituto Politécnico Nacional`` (IPN). In a descriptive investigation whose objective was to investigate the student's opinion about the distance education program they are studying and in relation to the interaction that is established when working together with other people. A Likert-type questionnaire was built with 39 items. It was published on the platform for two months and students were invited to respond to it. An n = 35 students of Public Accounting and n = 25 students of the degree in Commercial Relations were obtained.

    The main findings allow us to conclude that the students are happy to study a distance program, they are motivated, however, not all of them like to work in heterogeneous groups or do collaborative work.
