Abstract: Multiple myeloma (MM) is a neoplastic plasma cell disorder characterized by clonal proliferation of malignant plasma cells in the bone marrow (BM) microenvironment and monoclonal protein in blood and/or urine. The most common clinical manifestations include hypercalcemia, renal disease, anemia, lytic bone lesions, and recurrent infections. Autologous stem cell transplantation, performed with blood grafts, is the standard consolidative approach after induction therapy in patients with MM. Reflecting clinical manifestations such as increased morbidity, decreasedphysical function and well-being as well as the progression of survival and remission of the disease. A search for previous works was carried out in the PubMed and VHL Regional Portal databases and a total of 31 scientific articles were included after applying inclusion and exclusion criteria. Through the analysis, inductive therapies that enhance the effect of autologous stem cell transplantation in MM and their respective clinical repercussions were observed. It was also shown that the success of the transplant depends on the rapid engraftment of the progenitor and stem cells that reestablish hematopoiesis.
