Abstract: The objective of this article is to analyze the impacts of teaching methodologies on motivation and learning, based on the perceptions of university students at the State University of Feira de Santana. The research adopts a qualitative approach, using the reflective workshop as a data collection instrument. The research results reveal that when the teacher has a mechanical conception of learning and uses strategies based on this conception, it does not favor student engagement and self-regulation of learning, while active methodologies contribute to a better relationship between teachers and students, and to more meaningful learning.
