Abstract: Introduction: Anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injury is among the most prevalent and debilitating injuries in soccer, with a direct impact on joint function and return to sport. Objective: To compare the effectiveness of different rehabilitation methods for ACL injuries in soccer players. Materials and Methods: Integrative literature review, with a qualitative and descriptive approach, carried out in the PubMed, SciELO, PEDro and CAPES databases, with searches conducted between February and May 2026. Results: Protocols based on neuromuscular training and objective functional criteria outperformed traditional temporal approaches; return to treatment before nine months after reconstruction was associated with a significantly higher risk of re-injury; supervised rehabilitation proved superior to home-based rehabilitation in functional and proprioceptive outcomes. Scientific Contribution: This study provides a comparative basis between methods, highlighting gaps in the standardization of protocols and supporting evidence-based clinical practice. Conclusion:ACL rehabilitation should be individualized, progressive, and guided by objective functional criteria, with an emphasis on neuromuscular training and supervised follow-up.
