Abstract: Introduction: Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) is one of the leading causes of morbidity and mortality worldwide, characterized by persistent airflow limitation and the presence of disabling symptoms such as dyspnea, cough, and mucus hypersecretion, which affect functional capacity and quality of life of affected individuals. Objective: To carry out a literature review on respiratory physiotherapy interventions, the practice of physical activity, and pulmonary rehabilitation programs in the quality of life of patients with Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease. Materials and Methods: This study consists of a literature review conducted through searches for scientific articles in the PubMed, SciELO, LILACS, and PEDro databases, published between 2020 and 2026, in Portuguese, English, and Spanish. The following descriptors were used: Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease, respiratory physiotherapy, and quality of life. Results: These studies demonstrated a reduction in dyspnea, improvement in pulmonary ventilation, increased exercise tolerance, enhancement of functional capacity and balance, as well as a positive impact on the physical, emotional, and social domains of quality of life. Scientific Contribution: This study integrates different interventions, offering a more comprehensive view of treatment. In this way, it fills gaps related to the need for integrated approaches and the focus on quality of life as an important outcome, reinforcing the role of physiotherapy in the rehabilitation of these patients. Conclusion: Respiratory physiotherapy, physical activity, and pulmonary rehabilitation programs are effective interventions in promoting the quality of life of patients with Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease, reinforcing the fundamental role of physiotherapy in the treatment and rehabilitation of this population.
