LEO PROPOSAL: STRATEGY TO PROMOTE SKILLS AND MEANINGFUL LEARNING IN UNIVERSITIES

The LEO proposal encompasses three essential competencies that are expected of every professional: reading competency, which constitutes the basis for the construction of meaningful learning and demands a deep connection between the reader and the text; writing competence, which, closely linked to reading, involves a complex cognitive process and finds its optimal development context in the educational environment; and competence in oral expression, which becomes a third essential element when the student masters reading and writing, allowing him to dialogue and present his knowledge effectively, supported by logical, coherent and precise arguments. All these interactions through dialogue are invariably mediated by the oral word, and at their root lies a preparation process that originates with the reading, interpretation and criticism of the texts, and culminates in the ability to translate analysis and synthesis. in written words.
