Abstract: Currently the technical possibilities for digital artistic creation in the context of animation software is wide and diverse, having evolved especially with the integration of generative processes through artificial intelligence. The paradigm changes the objective of these tools, which were based on offering all kinds of possibilities for creative and artistic development in the creation of animation. However, among the possibilities of AI automation, a software capable of using artistic references as keyframes to produce animation sequences applying style is being developed. EbSynth is presented as a software capable of producing interleaved frames in rotoscoping sequences by interpreting the original footage, using artistic reference as keyframes for texture synthesis, and analyzing and interpreting data using algorithms to save costs in the production of animation sequences. This creation experience tries to approach the creative possibilities using digital painting references and illustrations to generate animation, reflecting on the possibilities and problems of this tool through five case studies.
