Abstract: Introduction: Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) is a complex disorder that directly affects communication, cognition, and social interaction. Its manifestations include difficulties in motor control, coordination, balance, and muscle strength, which can compromise autonomy. In this scenario, pediatric physiotherapy plays na essential role in offering interventions aimed at improving motor skills, promoting independence, and consequently, the quality of life of children with ASD. Objective: To analyze the effects of physiotherapy treatment in children with autism spectrum disorder. Methodology: This study was developed through a descriptive literature review, in which 27 scientific articles corresponding to the period from 2019 to 2025 were used, through computerized searches using databases such as Scielo, Medline, and LILACS employing terms such as: Pediatric Physiotherapy, Autism Spectrum Disorder, and Play Activities. Expected Results: This study is expected to contribute to expanding knowledge about the role of physiotherapy in ASD, highlighting the main strategies used in clinical practice and their impact on the motor, sensory, and functional development of children. Furthermore, it seeks to identify existing gaps in the literature, providing support for future research and for the improvement of physiotherapy interventions aimed at this population.
