Abstract: Obstetric violence is a public health issue, which makes it essential to develop strategies to help prevent it and improve care for the maternal population. Objectives: To assess the level of confidence and learning of nursing students in identifying situations of obstetric violence during childbirth and their care strategies for reducing it in a clinical simulation scenario. Method: A descriptive, quantitative study using clinical simulation involving undergraduate nursing students (7th and 8th semesters). Data were collected through pre- and post-tests using an electronic form and analyzed using descriptive statistics. Results: The hypothesis was affirmed that the use of simulated scenarios with the theme can contribute positively to the self-confidence of future nurses to prevent cases of violence during childbirth, since 87% of the students in this study said they felt more confident after taking part in the scenario. Conclusion: The use of active teaching methods has undeniably promising effects in terms of student knowledge acquisition, especially the use of clinical simulation as a teaching method.
