THE USE OF CREATINE BEYOND ERGOGENIC POTENTIAL: A NARRATIVE REVIEW
This review becomes relevant when discussing and analyzing the most current and consolidated research on the efficiency and application of creatine supplementation in various clinical conditions, both in its prevention and in association with drug treatment in the course of diseases, as one of the supplements most popular in the world, used as a strategy in both physiological and pathological conditions. Therefore, the objective of the work is to investigate the role of creatine supplementation as a therapeutic strategy in different clinical morbidities, such as: neurodegenerative diseases, mental disorders, diabetes, mitochondrial dysfunctions and muscular dystrophies.
